1. Who We Are

Aqua Alliance Inc. ("Aqua Alliance", "we", "us") is a tiling, surface-restoration, pool-construction and commercial-spa company located at 818 The Queensway, Suite 303
Toronto, ON M8Z 1N5, Canada. We operate the website aquaalliance.ca and are responsible for the personal information we collect through it.

Privacy Officer: the person responsible for the protection of personal information at Aqua Alliance Inc. can be reached at info@aquaalliance.ca, by telephone at 365‑886‑8444, or by mail at the address above (Attention: Privacy Officer).

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you choose to give us:

  • Contact, quote and service requests — name, company or property name, email address, telephone number, property address or location, the details of your request, and any photos you upload.
  • Callback requests — name, telephone number and preferred callback time.
  • Configurator submissions — spa model, shell colour, installation preferences and your contact details.
  • Chat messages — what you type into our AI assistant (see section 7).
  • Technical information — your IP address and browser details are processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the website. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects aggregated usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type).

Please do not send us sensitive information (such as financial account numbers, government identifiers or health information) through our forms or chat. We do not need it to quote or schedule work.

3. Why We Collect It and How We Use It

We use your personal information only to respond to your inquiry, assess your project, prepare and deliver a quote, schedule and perform work, provide warranty and after-service support, keep the business records the law requires, and operate and secure the website. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you have given us your express consent, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Emails we send in reply to your request or about work we are performing are transactional, and every commercial message we ever send will identify us and include a working way to unsubscribe.

4. Your Consent

By submitting a form or starting a chat, you consent to our collecting and using the information you provide for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting our Privacy Officer. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer respond to your request.

5. Service Providers and Transfers Outside Canada

We use trusted service providers to operate the website and our business. They may only use personal information to provide their service to us. Some of them store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities under local law.

  • Vercel Inc. — website hosting and delivery.
  • Supabase Inc. — database and secure file storage for form submissions and uploaded photos.
  • Resend — delivery of the emails we send you and our team.
  • Anthropic PBC — processes chat messages to generate AI assistant replies.
  • Stripe — payment processing, if and when our online shop is available. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Google — Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies) and Google Maps on our contact page.

Our fonts are hosted on our own servers; your browser does not contact Google to display them.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you first visit, you can choose Essential only or Accept all. Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site data for aquaalliance.ca in your browser.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that measure how the website is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Maps, embedded on the contact page, may set its own cookies when it loads.

7. Our AI Assistant

The chat assistant ("Alex") is an artificial-intelligence tool, not a human being. Its answers are general information and are not a quote, a contract or professional advice. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. We do not keep a transcript of the conversation; if you ask the assistant to submit a service request, the details you confirm are saved as a request, as described in section 8. We do not make decisions about you using solely automated processing.

8. How Long We Keep Information

Inquiry, quote and service-request information is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer. Records of work performed, warranties and invoices are kept for as long as the law requires (generally six years for financial records) and for the duration of any warranty. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. Security and Breaches

We protect personal information with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to stored data. No system is completely secure. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and, for residents of Québec, the Commission d'accès à l'information) as required by law, and keep a record of the incident.

10. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Québec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used, and obtain a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • withdraw your consent, and ask us to delete your information or stop using it, subject to legal and contractual limits;
  • receive your computerized personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format, where applicable; and
  • challenge our compliance by contacting our Privacy Officer.

Send your request to info@aquaalliance.ca. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Québec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

11. Children

Our website and services are directed at property owners, managers and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will post a notice on the website and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
